At Marston & Brunt Art Studio, we design and build plant-based environments that bring structure, clarity, and a sense of life into a space. Our work ranges from vertical living walls and garden design to custom plant pieces and event installations, each approached with a focus on proportion, material sensitivity, and long-term livability.
Our living walls are designed using modular systems, including the WallyGro Woolly Pocket® system, allowing for flexible, sculptural compositions that respond to the architecture around them. Each installation is developed with careful consideration of light, airflow, irrigation, and maintenance, ensuring the work is not only visually resolved, but sustainable over time. The goal is a living installation that feels integrated into the space rather than applied to it.
Our garden and patio work is rooted in restraint and clarity. Whether working within a compact courtyard or a larger outdoor environment, we focus on spatial flow, plant rhythm, and palettes that support both beauty and durability. We regularly work with drought-tolerant and coastal-appropriate plantings, selecting materials that perform well while maintaining a refined, cohesive aesthetic.
We also create custom plant pieces, pairing sculptural vessels with intentional plant selections to produce compositions that function as living design elements. These works are often used for client gifting, interior accents, or as anchoring elements within a space, designed to feel both elevated and personal.
For events and temporary installations, we develop plant-based environments that shape atmosphere and define experience. From intimate gatherings to larger activations, these installations are designed to create presence, soften space, and give a clear sense of arrival.
