"Contemporary Cornucopia"
Not all gatherings call for scale. This piece was created for an intimate Thanksgiving setting, where a single table would hold both the meal and the moment.
With the table fully dedicated to food, the installation was designed to rise above it — a suspended chandelier that reinterprets the idea of the cornucopia. Rather than approaching the theme literally, the form was developed as a geometric “horn of plenty,” allowing the concept to emerge through structure, rhythm, and material rather than representation.
Constructed from an architectural framework of twigs, the piece extends outward in a branching, directional flow. Dried, color-treated grasses and Tillandsia are woven throughout, introducing softness and tonal variation against the linear structure. A single Edison bulb provides warmth and a quiet focal glow, anchoring the installation within the space.
Suspended from above, the work transforms the table into an environment rather than a surface — setting the tone for an evening centered on abundance, gratitude, and shared presence.
Each installation is developed in response to the gathering, with scale, materials, and composition shaped by the way the space is meant to be experienced.
